Orissians dissatisfied with
government manipulations
Utkal
Samaj organized two mass demonstrations, on Feb. 4th and 20th,
2008 for the benefit of suffering people
who lost their houses in a recent high
flood in Balasore, Orissa, India. The
actions took place in front of the Orissa Assembly House and the
Collector's office, Balasore. Proutists organised rallies
against the district administration for irregularity in giving relief
and against their manipulation in giving the survey report for house
damages. More than a thousand locals joined the manifestations that
featured in the regional media.

Proutists in Caracas
On the first day, thousands of activists marched from the Central
Venezuelan University with the theme, "Another world is possible!"
Proutists formed the most colorful and attractive group, singing kiirtan
continually and waving orange flags while they danced. They carried four
banners which said: "Cooperatives = Economic Democracy, Prout: A Vision
for a New World", "The first revolution is the revolution of consciousness,"

Proutists had decided on "Another World Is Possible” as the theme for the
Ananda Kanan retreat on June 29th.
PROUT Activities in India
A successful training camp was organized in the Pran Pur block of Katihar,
Bihar in India where the agrarian population live in abject poverty. In
Patna the annual PU Utlization Training Camp and a powerful symposium
gathered PU leaders, cadres and sympathizers.

Proutist Universal, a worldwide educational and cultural organisation,
from participating in the forum by denying all its applications to give
workshops or seminars.
